Germination

This is a sweet shop's workshop in Kasauli, HP. The shot was taken in summer of 2007

Agreed not a very enticing picture to start to a blog but fellows thats my inspiration for starting gardening!

....well also for my daughter too, who was then few months old. (not bcoz she needed mud to eat!). It was a mental affliction, diagnosed by "immense increase in 'Sense of Responsibility' levels" presumably due to post pregnancy depression and too much media throw ups of global warming and its effects. Accordingly one tries to do atleast something! For the environment and eventually your offspring and future generation! (drum roll pls)

Then this 'atleast something' is another malady, specially if you were a part of the 'working in office earlier' section of the society. So the Aunty next-door say to you, 'awww! poor you can't work anymore bcoz of the baby na, good for you that you follow a hobby, you are atleast doing something!' Ha! dear Aunty ...who wants to have a human boss when you can afford to have one who doesn't talk or order you around much! Its easy to keep him happy, just require little physical effort, effort that your body is thankful to have! The remunerations are uncountable!

Well in all gardening, for me, turned out to be the one hobby I haven't drift away from until now!

I have moved my household and my garden from 3 cities, 4 times  in 8 years (once overseas too)! Hope 'A Drifter's Garden' may inspire  urban nomads like us, who live in rented spaces and have restrictions on decorating and keeping heavy not easily movable stuff with us,  nevertheless to buy a pot  and start gardening.

Same place, summer 2010
By the way I went to Kasauli again after few years and happened upon the above spot. Here's the pic of the same place after 3 years (mobile shot so not great).

Happy Days to You All!
